victory cabbage? saurkraut!
on saturday i headed over the the kitchen of the talented caroline paquita & learned how to make saurkraut! actually, it's not just any saurkraut, but the best saurkraut in the world -- full of cabbage, and radishes, and garlic, and carrots, and beets... and a shitload of other awesome vegetables.
there was a lot of chopping and mashing, but i now have a jar of fermenting veggies sitting atop my fridge. waiting for deliciousness to happen.(cross your fingers for the kraut -- i hope it takes ...and i hope i like it. i've historically hated the stuff. but then again, it wasnt a purple-y red-y rainbow of gorgeous vegetables.)
